Hiking in the desert, by Rachel

Today we went on what couldn't be called a hike, and what couldn't be called a climb. We started out at the base of a canyon. We started climbing up, and it was very challenging in the beginning. As we went up ladders and rocks we all got more experienced and knew what to do. It got really fun as we got higher. Basically every few minutes we would stop and take pictures. We ended up with a lot of pictures! Eventually the trail evened out and it got a lot easier. Then it started to lope down and we were all doing our best to keep walking as we climbed down ladders and rocks. The entire time there was singing, jokes, and the snap of a camera lens. As we finally "found the light at the end of the canyon" we all smiled and posed in front of the canyon that we had all just concurred.
