December 19- The Kotel , by Jordyn

Today we went to the kotel( western wall). The kotel has a wall that is divided for men and women. From the top of the old city we looked at the wall and realized that the women had less space then the men, but there were more women than men praying. Before we went up to the wall we sat in a circle and got to write down our letter to God which we would later put in the wall. If felt very special to be in the holiest city of Israel. The girls walked into our section where many women were bowing, whispering prayers, and even crying. There were so many women crowded in our section of the wall that it was difficult to find a spot, but we finally did. Once I made way to the wall it felt incredible. I felt so connected to God and Judaism. Going to the wall at night made it extra special and an experience I will never forget.
