December 18 - School (Ironi Yud Dalet) By Ali
Today we went to the Israeli school, Ironi Yud Dalet. Our partners gave us a tour of the school and then we went to the first class, P.E. The girls and the boys were separated; the girls played a version of softball and the boys played basketball. We then went to an auditorium where Kare-bear (Karen) and Rabbi Raff, and the Israeli teachers talked about the differences and similarities of Judaism between Israel and America. It was very interesting to find out what all of the Israelis thought think like if like in America. We then ate pita, falafel, and hummus for lunch. One of the Israeli boys, Idan, had a birthday and we ate a delicious cake his mother made to celebrate. The boys lifted him up in a chair, just like in a Bar Mitzvah! The Israeli school experience was so much fun and I am excited for another school day tomorrow
